The Beauty of Re-Reading

Re-reading is a funny thing, don’t you think? I myself was a massive re-reader back when I was a kid, going back again and again to the worlds I loved reading about. However, as I was growing up my urge to re-read decreased and since discovering BookTube, starting blogging and joining Goodreads that urge has been almost none-existent.  I find it rather amusing that possibly the most bookish of all the social networks out there does not encourage re-reading when after all re-reading is also reading. Why do I say it does not encourage this practice? One of the major features of Goodreads is its Reading Challenge and re-reads don’t help towards completing the yearly goal. A shame in my opinion.

Changes... Let's Embrace Them!

Okay, peeps, today I wanna talk about two things that have been bugging me since almost the beginning of the year. Those are my reading tastes and my rating patterns . I wanna start with the latter first because it is what made me realize about the former.

Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon TBR // Progress & Wrap Up

It was earlier last year when I found out about Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon and even though I know is almost impossible to read 24 hours non-stop I think the idea is brilliant. A Readathon worldwide; readers from every country coming together at the same time for an entire day to read, read and read. My start time is Saturday 2PM and it would end Sunday 1:59PM. You can learn more about it on their website as well as your start time. I’ve never taken part myself but lately my motivation to read is lacking – and by that I mean I’m completely obsessed with Netflix’s Daredevil. If you are following me on Twitter *wink, wink* you would know already since it’s the only thing I tweet about…

Oh Reading Slumps, I loathe thee!

That’s it. I’ve just broken my own personal record: more than a week without reading a single word and I’m quite anxious here because I don’t feel like trying to do something to stop this nonsense. Yep guys, we can start panicking right this second!

The #ShitIHaveTooManyBooks Read-a-thon Round 2 TBR!

Okay, that title was a mouthful LOL! A few months ago, Regan from PeruseProject ( https://www.youtube.com/user/PeruseProject/videos ) started her own Read-a-thon and even though I couldn’t participate in the first one I decided to take part in Round 2 because one, is summer time and two, why the heck not? I don’t have big expectations for it because I’m in a weird reading slump which means I’m reading but at slow pace which I don’t really mind either but anyways… Here is my TBR for this: 1. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi 2. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephenie Perkins 3. Burn for Burn by Jenny Han & Shioban Vivian 4. La Princesa Prometida by William Goldman ( The Princess Bride ) I’m planning on reading these four books and just in case I finished them all (I wish!) I would probably pick up Noughts & Crosses  by Malorie Blackman which has been on my shelves like forever. The Read-a-thon started this last Wednesday and will end next Wednesd...
