June 2017

June is over and good riddance! I should acknowledge that although the beginning was stressful with my last two finals and sad because Sense8 got cancelled, the end of the month was way better. After a lot of fight from the fandom we got the amazing news yesterday that Netflix is gonna give us an ending for the show, after saying the cancellation was irrevocable. I still believe this show deserves way more seasons because everything about it is amazing but I'm happy that we can - at least for now - get the ending we deserve so that the story gets closure. And who knows, if we bring in enough numbers we might get a third season.

June 2016

June was stressful to say the least. I had my finals but I can finally say they went well. Got my results yesterday and I'm very happy indeed; during the first two weeks I didn’t do much reading but I bought a few books to keep me happy. Now, however, I’m in a book buying ban. My TBR is completely out of control and I need to balance things a little bit. Yet, July is my birthday month and I guess I will get a few of them. I don’t mind it though and I know I will buy one or two here and there when I feel like it until the end of the year. The gist of it all is to read more and buy less. Sorry, I digress… and this is a wrap-up.

June 2015

Hello there! Long time, no see, I guess. I feel like I owe all of you an explanation as to why I haven't been so active with the blog. My initial hiatus was meant to last 3 weeks (when I was having my finals) but things happened. This wrap-up is gonna be a little different but no worries, books are also in it :) I didn't know whether to talk about personal stuff here but then again, I've been interacting with a lot of you and there is no point in being secretive about it. At the end of May, I lost my (maternal) grandfather and it was quite unexpected. He was not ill or anything. He just woke up and felt bad and that was it. He died on his bed, with my grandma and my aunt with him and even though it has been hard, at least I know he lived a fully life and died surrounded by those who loved him. This happened after being done with my first week of finals and it set the mood for the next weeks. I know is gonna take a while to fully accept it but time heals everything. ...

June Wrap-Up!

And… another month that ends! I don’t even know how but June is over. Yep! And I have to say that it has been quite a good reading month for me despite having my finals. I ended up reading 9 books and 1 novella. Here is the list! The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare (eBook) Branded by Abi Ketner & Missy Kalicicki Don’t Look Back by Jennifer. L. Armentrout Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi (novella) I will say that starting June by reading The Lost Hero and then Son of Neptune was actually one hell of an amazing choice. I was so happy to be back in the Percy Jackson world and get to know not only the new characters but also about Roman mythology. I gave The Lost Hero 4 stars and 5 stars to Son of Neptune. Then, as you may know Cassandra Clare released the last and fi...
