August Wrap-Up!

And we see ourselves yet another month for my monthly wrap-up. August has been quite a good reading month for two reasons mainly. First, the second edition of Regan’s ‘Shit I Have Too Many Books’Readathon .  And second, my holidays when I was away for two weeks. All that gave me enough time to read a ton of books. Oh, and also during my holidays we went hiking and it didn’t turn out very well. Long story short, I got a knee sprain so these last few days of August I just read, constantly. Blame the “repose time” my doctor has imposed on me… and September is gonna be the same (Funnnnnnnnnnnn…. Not really). And after the longest intro in my history of wrap-ups here are the books I’ve read this month: 1. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi 2. Lola and The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins 3. Burn for Burn by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian 4. La Princesa Prometida by William Goldman 5. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart 6. Looking for Alaska by John Green 7. Amy and Roger'

Liebster Award Nomination!

I did not know what the Liebster Award was so when I got a nomination I was like what?! In case you, like me, are completely oblivious about it it is an award given to new blogs, to get followers and views. Morrighan Rose from Elysian Fields Reviews nominated me and it took me completely by surprise. Thank you so much! The Rules 1. Thank the blogger who nominates you. 2. Answer the 11 questions she/he asks of you. 3. List 11 random facts about yourself. 4. Nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers. 5. Ask these 11 bloggers 11 questions of your own. 6. Let them know you have mentioned them.

The Summertime Madness Tag!

The Summertime Madness Tag was created by JackEatsBooks and I’ve seen a few booktubers doing it so I thought to myself ‘why not?’ and so here I am, with my second tag post for you guys.  Here are the questions and my answers:

Looking for Alaska by John Green

" Before .  Miles "Pudge" Halter's whole existence has been one big nonevent, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave the "Great Perhaps" (François Rabelais, poet) even more. He heads off to the sometimes crazy, possibly unstable, and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed-up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young, who is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart. After .  Nothing is ever the same." John Green did it again! But this time he didn’t left me completely depressed, just a little bit really. This book follows Miles “Pudge” Halter and his adventures, if we can refer to them as such, when he decides to transfer to the boarding school his father attended. There he be

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

"A beautiful and distinguished family.  A private island.  A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.  A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.  A revolution. An accident. A secret. Lies upon lies. True love. The truth." It is true what they say about this book – the less you know about it, the better. For the first time ever I won’t give you a summary of this book. I will say, however, that E. Lockhart crafted a beautiful and heart-breaking story with a very poetic and original writing style and a mystery (most) readers won’t be able to solve. I tried my best to guess what will happen at the very end but I could not. I was truly shocked because my guesses were completely wrong. My face was a mixed between horror and disbelief when I found out. So, this may be the shortest review in the history of book reviews but I honestly say it is better if I don’t give anything away, just for the

Closed for Holidays!

The title speaks for itself but just in case as you might guess I’m going on holidays! I’ll be gone two weeks and unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how you look at it) I won’t have any Internet access so I won’t be able to upload any posts. Despite of being on holidays, most of my time will consist on reading, reading and reading because holidays is about getting some relaxing time and honestly what is more relaxing than reading? That’s right! So when I get back, I definitely will upload some reviews and of course my monthly wrap up. I might do a post about my holidays as well, where I could show you guys where I’ve been and the places I’ve seen just to do a different kind of thing. And that’s just it I believe. I hope you guys are having a terrific summer and I will see you again very soon! In the meantime, Happy Reading Everyone!
